  • Walk the walls — the heart of the Dubrovnik experience (~2 hours).
  • Check the cruise-ship schedule; avoid the Old Town on ship days.
  • Escape to Lokrum or the Elafiti islands by boat.

  • The Stradun at midday and on cruise days — it becomes unwalkable.
  • Staying inside the Old Town is very pricey and means stairs with luggage.
