When should I visit Vietnam?
Since Vietnam is a long country, the climate varies by region. In general, February-April and October-November are the most balanced for the whole country. The north (Hanoi) is cool in winter, and the central region (Hoi An) carries a flood risk in October-November.
Is Vietnam cheap?
Yes, it's one of Southeast Asia's most affordable countries. The mid-range daily budget is around $35-60 per person; street food is $1-3, and accommodation and transport are very economical.
How do you cross the traffic in Hanoi?
Walk at a steady, slow pace without stopping — the motorbikes flow around you. Stopping, running or hesitating is dangerous. It's scary at first but that's how the system works; follow the locals.
How many days are enough in Vietnam?
8-10 days for the classic north-central route (Hanoi + Ha Long + Hoi An); 2-3 weeks to see the whole country (including Ho Chi Minh in the south). Night trains/buses make distances efficient.
How is the SIM card in Vietnam?
Viettel and Vinaphone airport SIMs are set up in minutes and very cheap; eSIM is common too. Coverage is good in cities and tourist areas.
