- Walk down through Kaleiçi to the marina before sunset, then climb back through the streets instead of taking the lift.
- See Lower Düden not only from the park but, if possible, from the sea on a short boat trip.
- Give one morning to Perge and a cooler day to the mountain trails of Termessos.
- Avoid long archaeological-site walks at midday in July and August; shade is very limited.
- In Kaleiçi, check the prices before sitting at tourist restaurants with no visible menu.
- Do not automatically accept the first taxi offer from the airport; the tram is often more practical.
- Contactless bank cards work on public transport, so short-stay visitors may not need a separate transport card.
- Konyaaltı is pebbly; water shoes make a real difference if your feet are sensitive.
- Buy water in the city before Termessos; options at the site are limited and the walk can take longer than expected.
